What an amazing coincidence! Ernie made Ina's meatballs last Friday night when friends from the city spent the night with us. Love those meatballs! We use plain old ground beef, every day wine and more herbs, as you do. We enjoyed the leftovers the next night. Then with the few remaining meatballs, he made his version of baked ziti. Yum! We use our home-canned tomato sauce as the base for the sauce. Your mother's sauce sounds incredible. Keep these recipes coming!
